Clients Pro for wProject

The Clients Pro plugin empowers you to grant access to clients within wProject, providing tailored access controls as per your specifications.

Understanding Clients Pro Settings:

Project Access:

• Limited: This is the default status, ensuring client access is restricted to projects where they have assigned tasks (recommended). Clients can view a project only if they are associated with a task within it.
• Unlimited: Grants clients access to all projects, but caution is advised, especially for sensitive information that should not be visible to them.
• Specific: Allows clients access only to projects defined in their user profiles. If chosen, clients gain access to designated projects and those they already have tasks in (if applicable).

Capability:

• Create and Edit Own Tasks: Recommended for enabling clients to create and modify their own tasks. However, they won't have access to Task Relationships, Milestones, and Hide Task Details fields.
• Create Tasks for Others: Grants clients the ability to create tasks for other users within the organization.
• Comment on Tasks: Enables clients to comment on tasks they have access to.
• Comment on Pages: Allows clients to comment on accessible pages (requires 'Access Pages' enabled).
• View Project Info: Grants clients access to comprehensive project information, including dates, times, and costs. Exercise caution if this data is sensitive.
• View Team Page: Permits clients to view the team page and bios of all team members.
• View Tasks Owned by Others: Allows clients to view tasks they don't own.
• Access Pages: Grants access to view pages.

Other Access and Limitations:

Clients Can:

• View Kanban boards (read-only mode)
• View Gantt charts (read-only mode)

Clients Cannot:

• Access reports
• Manage a project
• View the details page of tasks not belonging to them (though they can view task details listed in projects they're involved in)
